An interesting question is the ecological burden that the transport of CO2 will bring to Prinos in case the project is implemented. In other words, I will try here to calculate a general picture of the movements by ships and/or trucks in our area.

To answer this question, I will focus on the ISO Containers (ISO-Tanks) for liquefied CO₂ which are currently Standard and are used for the transport of liquid CO₂. We do not yet have pipelines. The standard containers used are based on international ISO standards. They have a capacity of approximately 20–30 tons of CO₂ and maintain the CO₂ in liquid form under a pressure of 15–22 bar and a temperature of approximately –20°C. They are made of stainless steel with thermal insulation. They can be transported by truck (road transport), by train and by ship (such as container ships or special CO₂ carriers).

The main question that concerns us here is the movements of trucks and ships required to transport 3 million tons of CO2 to Prinos. In the table I enclose, I calculated what awaits us. In case of implementation, we will have a combination of these alternative solutions that exist. Take a deep breath, patriots, and move on to ecological tourism with clean nature and clean air. At first, we will probably have truck movements on EGNATIA and gradually from Rachoni to Kallirachi we will gaze at the beasts that will come and go on the SIGMA platform. Words have patience, numbers are accurate, here are the numbers:
