| Η Ελλάδα βρίσκεται επί του παρόντος στη διαδικασία επικαιροποίησης του Εθνικού Σχεδίου για την Ενέργεια και το Κλίμα (ΕΣΕΚ). Το επικαιροποιημένο ΕΣΕΚ αναμένεται να θέσει ακόμη πιο φιλόδοξους στόχους για την ανάπτυξη ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας και την ενεργειακή απόδοση, και να αναγνωρίσει την CCS ως έναν από τους κύριους στρατηγικούς άξονες για την επίτευξη των στόχων μηδενικού ισοζυγίου εκπομπών έως το 2050. Εκτός από τον κρίσιμο ρόλο της στην επίτευξη των στόχων της Ελλάδας για καθαρές εκπομπές μηδενικού ισοζυγίου, η ανάπτυξη της CCS είναι επίσης πολύ σημαντική για να επιτρέψει στις ελληνικές βιομηχανίες που δυσκολεύονται να μειώσουν τις εκπομπές τους να παραμείνουν ανταγωνιστικές σε ευρωπαϊκό και παγκόσμιο επίπεδο. | Greece is currently in the process of updating its National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP). The updated NECP is expected to set even more ambitious targets for development of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, and to recognize CCS as one of the main strategic axes for the achievement of the net zero goals by 2050. Besides its critical role in helping Greece achieve its net-zero objectives, the development of CCS is also very important in order to allow the hard-to-abate Greek industries to stay competitive in a European and global context. |
