| CCS Lobby: IOGP Creating a sustainable business case for CCS value chains – the needed funding and de-risking mechanisms IOGP Europe represents the interests of oil & gas producers towards European institutions and has advocated for years for the important role of CCS on the path to net-zero. Core CCS related competencies of our members centre around the development of CO2 storage sites and the development of associated (upstream) onshore and offshore transportation infrastructure. However, an enabling legal framework and the needed supportive funding and de-risking mechanisms are needed for all entities active along the CCS value chain, for CCS businesses to take investment decisions and scale up a CCS industry, comparable to the development of renewables. ---------------------------------------------------- Η IOGP Europe εκπροσωπεί τα συμφέροντα των παραγωγών πετρελαίου και φυσικού αερίου έναντι των ευρωπαϊκών θεσμικών οργάνων και εδώ και χρόνια υποστηρίζει τον σημαντικό ρόλο της CCS στην πορεία προς το μηδενικό ισοζύγιο εκπομπών. Οι βασικές ικανότητες των μελών μας σε σχέση με την CCS επικεντρώνονται στην ανάπτυξη χώρων αποθήκευσης CO2 και στην ανάπτυξη των σχετικών (ανάντη) υποδομών μεταφοράς στην ξηρά και στη θάλασσα. Ωστόσο, απαιτείται ένα ευνοϊκό νομικό πλαίσιο και οι απαραίτητοι μηχανισμοί χρηματοδότησης και μείωσης του κινδύνου για όλες τις οντότητες που δραστηριοποιούνται κατά μήκος της αλυσίδας αξίας της CCS, ώστε οι επιχειρήσεις CCS να λαμβάνουν επενδυτικές αποφάσεις και να αναπτύσσουν την βιομηχανία CCS, συγκρίσιμη με την ανάπτυξη των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας. | |
