| Bis spätestens zum Jahr 2045 will Deutschland Klimaneutralität erreichen. Wesentliche Voraussetzung hierzu ist Treibhausgasneutralität, also das Erreichen eines Gleichgewichts zwischen der Emission von Treibhausgasen (THG) und deren Entfernung aus der Atmosphäre . Nicht vermeidbare Residualemissionen, etwa aus der Landwirtschaft oder bestimmten Industrieprozessen, müssen dabei durch Entnahme einer mindestens ebenso großen Menge Treibhausgase (typischerweise CO2) aus der Atmosphäre ausgeglichen werden. | |
