Kavala and Thassos send SOS

CCS technology is often touted as the “key” to achieving climate goals. But how safe, effective, and economically sustainable is it really? What are its environmental, legal, and social impacts?

The Kavala Against CCS initiative is organizing this event with renowned scientists to inform the public in Kavala about new developments related to the technical and geological uncertainties of CCS, the dangers to the environment and local communities, and to discuss with citizens whether CO₂ capture and storage is a solution or a new risk to the environment. Our goal is to have an open and informed dialogue.
