Thasos says NO!

Meeting of the Regional Council of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace on CO₂ storage in Prinos

TODAY, 29/09/2025, the Thasos Coordinating Committee, together with the Kavala Initiative against CO₂, will be in Komotini, where the Regional Council of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss CO₂ storage in Prinos.
We will be there and we will politely voice our opposition to the plans of the Government and the Company to create a potential hazard for centuries to come in the Gulf of Kavala and the bowels of Thasos. We do not want the protection of human life and health through promises of clear and reliable warnings, because we know that these will not exist. We do not want this project! We do not want these 432 bar cauldrons in our backyard!
